Sloths

11-01-21

Outside the center of La Fortuna, I found a sloth preserve that I wanted to check out. You can pay less to walk around on your own, but I recommend paying the extra amount to have a tour guide with you. They are the experts and know exactly where the sloths are. Without them pointing out the sloths, I would have never seen any. The guides will also give you more information about the area and show you other animals that live there. I caught sight of some exotic birds and poison dart frogs. A monkey was living in the preserve too. My guide explained that he was an alpha for his group but became displaced when another alpha took over. So now he lives with the sloths in this preserve.
